Thank you to Lifelong Endurance for sharing this extremely valuable information with me and allowing me to share with YOU!
Why is warming up and cooling down important? I’m not a scientist, but I have seen firsthand how it has helped me stay healthy, mobile, and able to run pain-free. I was always a “step out the door and run” kind of gal, but it took about 2 years until that caught up with me.
So! I am so excited to share this – it truly has been the REASON I am able to run. I have had a recent piriformis/glute issue that was keeping me from doing what I love and was really causing me a lot of pain and just overall crampin’ my style!
I am finally managing it – I wouldn’t say it’s completely GONE, but I am doing just that – managing it.
It’s a valuable lesson I’ve learned – to be able to do personal maintenance in order to healand prevent injury. The thing I love most about this is that I’ve been able to make it a routine. This warm up and cool down isn’t anything too extensive or time consuming (if it were, I would probably avoid it all together). It’s quick, easy to remember, and can easily become part of a routine.
So, here it is! Feel free to use this and please let me know if you do and how it works for you!
Do you have a warm up and/or cool down routine? Would you add anything?
What is your least or most favorite part of a warm up/cool down?
Run happy, friends!
Hey Jenna . . I don’t know if it is just me . . but the link appear to not work.
